My name is Alex Dormezil, and I'm currently an honor student at Greater Lowell Technical High School. Throughout my high school experience, I've consistently worked hard to achieve academic excellence, and I'm proud of the recognition I've received for my efforts, earning Honors and High Honors numerous times. I've maintained a GPA between 3.7 and 3.8, and I'm determined to continue pushing myself to improve and raise it even higher as I progress through my high school years. Education is something I'm deeply passionate about, and I am always eager to learn more, take on new challenges, and gain as much knowledge and experience as I can. I believe that the effort I put into my studies will continue to shape my future and help me achieve my long-term goals.
Ever since I could remember I have been pursuing a long-term future in Information Technology, and I have been passionate about programming since the age of 12 when I wrote my first few lines of code. This early interest has allowed me to develop valuable technical skill. One of my biggest goals is to go to college such as UMASS Amherst or UMASS Lowell and gain a 4 years masters degree to further my dream of having career the field of computer science and running track at these D1 schools. My experiences with programming and IT have also reinforced my ability to problem-solve, think critically, and stay adaptable. I am looking to expand on my resume with experiences and certifications.
Besides my academics and love for programming, I'm also the co-captain of the Track and Field Team at Greater Lowell Technical High School. Taking on this role has taught me a lot about leadership—whether that means keeping my teammates motivated, helping them improve, or just being someone they can count on. I've received Sportsmanship and Coaches Awards, which I'm really proud of, but more importantly, I've grown a lot through these experiences. Athletics has pushed me to become a better communicator and a more organized person, and it's helped me learn how to lead by example. One of the most meaningful parts of my time in sports, though, has been my work with our school's Unified Track Team. This team brings together students of all abilities, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to compete in an inclusive and supportive environment. Being part of that has been incredible. I help coach, cheer on teammates during events, and do whatever I can to make sure everyone feels included and respected. It's hard to put into words how much that's impacted me. I've learned a lot about patience, empathy, and what it really means to work as a team. Whether I'm on the competitive team or with Unified, every practice and meet has helped shape who I am—not just as a student-athlete, but as a person.
This is my full resume. As I progress through my education, I am continuing too gain valuable experience to expanding my knowledge. At this stage, I am focused on building a strong foundation that will support my future academic and professional career. I am dedicated to constant improvement and will always seek opportunities to learn from both my successes and challenges. This is just the beginning of my journey, and I look forward to gaining more hands-on experience, and refining my skills as I continue my education.
